On behalf of the ISP2022 Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to attend the 27th International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, which is to be held at the Sydney International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia from Monday October 31 to Thursday November 3, 2022.
ISAP2022 is organized by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in collaboration with the University of Adelaide and other Australian universities, as well as CSIRO and the Australian industry. It is in cooperation with and sponsored by the Antennas and Propagation Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE/AP-S), the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP), the Japanese Communications Society of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communications Engineers (IEICE), the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) as well as a number of international companies.
With a focus on the Asia-Pacific region, ISAP is one of the most significant international flagship conferences in antennas and propagation, attracting academic and industrial participants at all career stages from all over the world. It is a premier forum for exchanging new technical-scientific achievements, for demonstrating state-of-the-art technologies, and for establishing and strengthening professional cooperation and network in antennas, propagation, microwave circuits, electromagnetics theory, and related fields such as wireless communications and sensing.
The ISAP2022 technical program consists of three keynote speeches and twenty invited talks by world-leading researchers from Australia and overseas, and a large number of invited and contributed papers. For the first time in ISAP history, we are also organising the European –Australian School of Antennas (EASoA) as part of the ISAP conference to be held from 4th to 6th November 2022 at New South Wales’ iconic beautiful beach town Manly. The main theme of the EASoA is Novel Analogue Beamforming Techniques for Antennas for B5G and 6G Systems. This timely educational event features seven world-leading researchers in the antenna fields as lecturers.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the committee members who have worked tirelessly to make ISAP2022 a great success. I thank all the participants, financial sponsors and exhibitors as well as ISAP international Steering Committee members whole-heartedly for their kind support given at this challenging time. With these strong supports, ISAP2022 is poised to become an invaluable and memorable event to all participants.
We look forward to meeting you in Sydney, Australia in October 2022.
Distinguished Professor Y. Jay Guo, UTS
